A productive day on the Boston job site.

Cables have now been successfully pulled and the 8-metre columns erected, marking another key milestone in the project. Lantern installation and final connections are the next steps as we continue progressing the works.

It certainly helped that the team had some great weather on our side today – always a bonus when working outdoors.

Great effort from everyone involved in getting this stage completed safely and efficiently. Looking forward to the next phase.

As part of the external upgrades to Stocksbridge Leisure Centre, we were commissioned to design, supply, and install new lighting to enhance the car park for customers. The design needed to consider the ecological report, which identified the presence of local wildlife and required this to be factored into the lighting strategy.

To address this, 3000K LED lanterns were specified, which are DarkSky-approved and help minimise light pollution while maintaining appropriate illumination levels. A uniformity ratio of 0.4 was achieved across the site, creating a comfortable and visually balanced lighting environment for users of the car park.

It is always rewarding to see a project come to life once the sun sets and the lighting design can be fully appreciated.
